To cook n potatoes on the cooktop installed in our new kitchen:

  1. Cook one potato.
  2. Assume that if you can cook k potatoes, you can cook k + 1 potatoes.

Your potatoes are now cooked.

    I want to know who has to peel/wash the infinite number of potatoes.

  2. Happily, it’s not me.

    I do note, however, that my proof is spoilt by pan size.  So we’ll have to make the potatoes infinitely small before we can cook them.

    Aha, the Riemann Sum approach to potato cooking. Unfortunately that means that the maximum amount of potato you can cook will be asymptotic in nature.

    How about making roast chicken by matrix multiplication?
