Thanks for replying so quickly! Ooops, sorry that i forgot to put my email.
But i came back hehe, i saved your blog in favourites ;)

That helped a lot and it sounds great! =]
Im just wondering what type of activities that we will do at NCSS, or is it different every year?
Also, my friend wants to know if we are allowed to go go back home over the weekend?
Hey Maddie,

I wish you left your e-mail address so I could actually reply to you -- oh well, I hope you check back here :)

1) Yes, people going into year 11 are frequently accepted for NCSS... So that's usually ok.
2) The school is residential -- you stay on campus at USYD. Normally there's two students to a room, but this can fluctuate depending on the (lack of) demand for the college (the year I was a student, single-person rooms were available, the year I tutored, there were 2-3 people per room). If you have to share a room, you'll be paired up semi-randomly with someone. You can probably ask to be placed with a friend if you know you're going.

Anyway, I highly recommend going to NCSS -- you meet heaps of interesting people, you learn interesting things, and you get to visit interesting places. Both times I went to NCSS, it was one of the best experiences of my life!

Hope that helps,

Hey,
Um this is kinda late but i was just wondering, well my friend and I are thinking about going to NCSS these summer holidays. We are going into year 11 next year, would this be ok? Also, is it really hard for beginners who haven't done programming before?
What do we do about staying overnight? Do we sleep at the place in our own rooms or with a friend?
Thanks,
Maddie
